WATERS (Water Act Temporary Diversion Licence Electronic Review System)
Important Notice
Effective May 9, 2025, the Water Act Temporary Diversion Licence Electronic Review System (WATERS) will no longer receive applications for Temporary Diversion Licences (TDLs) under the Water Act.
- Beginning June 2, 2025, applications for TDLs regulated by the Alberta Energy Regulator must be submitted through OneStop. For more information, see Water Licence Application Processing in OneStop.
- Applications for all Water Act licences regulated by Environment and Protected Areas (EPA), including TDLs, must be submitted through the Digital Regulatory Assurance System (DRAS).
